Unfortunately, the Imulsion began to mutate and an early form of Lambency took hold. The infected members of the population were gathered by the COG (Coalition of Ordered Governments) and moved to New Hope where it was hoped a cure could be found. During the start of the Pendulum Wars, many of the Imulsion miners who had taken part in the Gold Rush began contracting a serious illness after extended Imulsion exposure. The beginning the of the Locust Horde started at the New Hope Research Facility. 1.3 The Battle and Eventual Destruction of Halvo Bay.1.2 The Creation of the Lambent and Emergence Day.Any type of negotiation with the Locust failed and would lead into the events of Gears Of War. When the Locust made their appearance known, the event became known as Emergence Day or E-Day. This civil war lasted for an unspecified time but it eventually forced the Locust out from the Hollow and invade the surface (this happened six weeks after the Pendulum Wars ended). While this conflict was happening, the Locust were fighting other Locust that were infected with Imulsion (the Lambent). This war would be known as the Pendulum Wars that lasted for 79 years. These tunnels were spread out throughout the planet while different groups of humanity (COG and UIR) were at war with each other over Imulsion. They originally live a subterranean lifestyle beneath the surface of Sera by underground tunnels (known as the Hollow). We can't even begin to negotiate with them, or work out their objectives, because we just don't know the first damn thing about them. But for Arzes it did not break the pain of losing their ancestrial home, life just wasnt the same anymore.We can't stop them. Later him and other locust were able to rejoin the queen and became the Queens Guard in Azura. But he refused to lose faith in the queen. While riding he noticed the Queen was not around, and this infuriated him. He was a little relaxed knowing his big butcher friend was already on the surface serving hungry locust on the surface. He mounted his personal reaver and saved as many locust he could.

Having lived a long and happy life, the Hollows flooded. He accepted, and life became even better for Arzes. He told Arzes that while hes away in missions he could replace him to protect the queen. Everyone praised Arzes for the nice job, and the kantus priest approached him that encouraged him, and he turned out to be Skorge. He picked up a borrowed a frag grenade from another guard and threw it up at the stalagmites.

Then came his brilliant idea, he noticed stalagmites above where the gunkers were standing. But when he out he didnt know what to do at first.

This gave Arzes enough encouragement to fight. But a fellow kantus priest came by and reassured him, ' Do not worry, my healing powers are far more superior than the damage those infected monsers can do to you'. This being his first real skirmish, Arzes was was nervous and shaking. Many Guards tried to fend off the Gunkers and possibly lead them away from the palace, but some were killed. One fateful day in the palace, 5 lambent gunkers came to the palace and started bombarding it. His close friend, Gorg,who was a butcher, was jealous but was also happy for him.ДЄrzes would only continue to please the queen later on. He was so great he was promoted to the Palace Guard Ranks. He proved very useful in helping to protect the queen within the palace. He helped the palace guards by spotting enemies from afar such as lambent. Arzes was a normal spotter for the queen, telling her everything whenever.
